With no danger looking on and the Medbourne forward going away from goal, Ryan Geoghegan, for reasons best known to himself, brought the guy down unceremoniously, giving the Referee no option but to award a spot kick. No arguments from anyone said it all -- even Derek didn't disagree!! Anyway, from the penalty kick, FISHER fired Medbourne in front. The second half started with once again not much happening, although Pegasus were creating most of the chances, but for once all shooting boots had been left in their kit bags!! As Pegasus pressed for the equaliser, they were hit with the classic sucker punch, as Medbourne broke quickly down the Pegasus left hand side and PARK fired his side into a 0 - 2 lead. This knocked the stuffing out of the home side, who done little to reduce the arrears until substitute IAN WOOD hit the goal of the game in the 89th minute - a superb rising shot into the top corner from 20 yards. Unfortunately for Pegasus it was too little too late!! So let's hope that has given us all a wake up call for this Saturday's visit of League leaders Moulton who travel to |
