ON Chenecks Reserves 3 (Cwazy 2 Trim, Sincy) – 14/01/12
On a very cold day with the pitch partly frozen both teams
were keen to play and the referee gave the game the all clear.
Pegasus started strongly and their passing game was good
but there was no early breakthrough until after about half an hour Shaun
Sinclair was fouled in the box and Chwazy converted the penalty. Chenecks then
went straight up the other end and equalised!! Pegasus kept their composure and
Sincy put us back in the lead with a great finish before half time.
We fancied ourselves to go on and win but after missing an
early chance in the 2nd half, Chenecks quickly scored twice to go 3.2
up. However the lads felt confident we could still take all 3 points and with 10
minutes got the equaliser. We kept probing and playing good football and with
minutes to go we got the winner, Chwaz from a yard out with his belly!! Fair
play to the linesman who could easily have flagged it offside.
