Pegasus crashed out of the Junior Cup at the first hurdle to their higher ranked opponents, but the one sided score line does not reflect the game.

The visitors started the brighter but never really caused Pegasus too many problems until the home defence failed to clear a high ball and Craig McShannon was beaten from 25 yards by a vicious strike.  This rocked Pegasus back on their heels and not long after the visitors made it 0 – 2 with a long speculative cross cum shot sailing over the keeper’s head.
This spurred on Pegasus and for the last 15 minutes of the half they lay siege to the O.N.C. goal.  They pulled one back when Dragoslav Krunic pounced on a loose ball to fire home and they thought they had equalized when Steven Thain’s angled drive crashed off an upright to safety.
Pegasus got off to the worst possible start to the second half when the visitors went 1 – 3 up. Alex Sewell then had a great chance to cut the arrears but fired high over the bar with just the keeper to beat, before O.N.C. made it 1-4 with a speculative shot, or should that be trickle, that the keeper should have dealt with.  Pegasus thought they had finally reduced the arrears, after some goal keeping heroics had denied them, when Ben Smith scored, but the effort was disallowed by the Referee who took the side of the visiting Linesman, despite previously waving play on!!!!!!!
This knocked the stuffing out of the home side and the more they pushed forward the more gaps were left for the fast visiting forwards to exploit.
All in all a bad at the office for Pegasus but, as I said previously, in no way does the score line reflect the play.
