After five defeats on the spin, Pegasus were starting to get dragged into the relegation area and were desperate for a victory.
To help their cause, Derek Kirkpatrick was brought into the side for his seasonal debut and Graeme Jardine was given his first senior start for a number of seasons.
Pegasus started quite well and were certainly up for the fight and should have taken the lead but Steven Thain’s pin point cross was headed wide by Richard Chwaszcza. However, they didn’t have to wait too long for the lead as Chwaszcza chased down a long ball and cut it back for Jardine to turn his man and fire into the far corner for a much celebrated strike. John Coates almost made it 2 – 0 soon after but his long range effort came back off the bar.
The second started with Milton pressing hard for an equalizer, but the Pegasus defence stood strong.  Milton’s cause wasn’t helped when they were reduced to 10 men after a bad foul on Jardine which resulted in him having to leave the pitch with what appeared to be serious knee damage.  This upset the Pegasus rhythm for a while but soon after they increased their lead with a stunning goal.  Coates collected the ball on th e right before cutting inside, beating two players and lashing an unstoppable shot past the bemused Milton keeper from 25 yards.
Milton were not finished, however, and they pulled ne back with ten minutes to to leave Pegasus facing a nervy finish, but they held out to gain a deserved 3 points
